Donate in honor of a loved one and they can get a gift that will enable them to transform the lives of immigrants from over 100 countries living in the DC area.
$15= Transportation
A gift of just $15 can help clients get to and from important meetings with their social workers and attorneys.
$40= Legal Consulation
Just two Andrew Jacksons means that new clients can get a legal consultation from Ayuda's trusted attorneys. For many of our clients, this is the first time they have ever spoken to an attorney about their immigration concerns. At Ayuda, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to consult with an attorney in matters that drastically impact their lives, no matter their ability to pay.
$100= Translation Services
Immigration is a civil matter and civil courts do not provide translators. A donation of $100 would give an hour and a half of interpretation services for individuals with limited English skills, deaf or hard of hearing.
$300= Citizenship Applications
A donation of $300 will give you the chance to say that you helped two aspiring Americans become citizens.
$500= Support for Survivors of Domestic Violence
A gift of $500 means that you can help Ayuda run its innovative support group for Latina survivors of domestic violence, Hermanas Unidas (Sisters United). Hermanas Unidas gives these women a safe space to heal.
$1,000= Asylum Assistance
A generous $1,000 gift means that one immigrant who suffered great harm in their native country can find peace and asylum in the United States with Ayuda's help and legal representation.
$5,000= 20 Green Cards
A gift of $5,000 means the person you gave in honor of just helped 20 immigrants get green cards. This way, they can have peace of mind regarding their status and have a better opportunity to strengthen our community.
$10,000= 10 SAFE KIDS
A $10,000 gift means that ten kids who have grown up in violent households no longer have to worry about domestic violence. You will be giving a gift that is truly priceless to these children: the gift of safety.
$20,000= 40 Children Get a Voice in Court
This gift is a lifeline for immigrant children who have been abused, neglected, and abandoned. Without this gift, these children would have no one to represent them in court and fight on their behalf so they can have a chance to thrive in the United States.
