Ayuda Re-energizes Deferred Action Workshops

DACA English posterAs a result of President Obama's re-election on November 6, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program will continue. To meet community's demand for information and legal representation, Ayuda's DC Office is pleased to announce that it will be offering a free weekly DACA workshop series (bilingual in Spanish/English). As with Ayuda's prior DACA workshop series, students, teachers, social workers, parents, and anyone interested may attend.

Interested DACA applicants who attend the workshop receive a legal eligibility screening at the workshop, and then will be directed to a Saturday legal clinic at a later date for full legal representation in the preparation and filing of their applications for DACA.
The Tuesday DACA workshop series will begin this Tuesday, November 13 and will continue weekly through Tuesday, December 18. All workshops will be held at Ayuda's DC office from 4-6pm (please arrive no later than 4pm). Due to capacity concerns, each session will be limited to 20 people.

  • Tendrá un profesional legal que le dirá si potencialmente califica.
  • Conozca si tiene otras opciones legales.
  • Conozca que documentos necesitara para tener una solida solicitud.
  • Obtenga un puesto para una clínica legal donde personal de Ayuda le ayudará a   completar su solicitud de Acción Diferida.
  • El espacio estará limitado a personas que vengan por orden de llegada. Ayuda  sólo acomodará a 20  personas por sesión.
  •  Las sesiones serán en la oficina de Ayuda, en Takoma, DC.

Legal Orientation and Q&A Workshop

Every TUESDAY from 4-6pm (please arrive by 4pm) November 13 - December 18, 2012

  • Get an overview of the policy.
  • Find out from a legal professional if you potentially qualify.
  • Learn if you have other legal options.
  • Learn what documents you need to build a strong application.
  • Be first in line for a legal clinic where Ayuda staff will help you complete your application for Deferred Action.
  • Space is limited to a first-come, first-served basis.  Ayuda will only seat 20 people per workshop.
  • Workshops will be held at Ayuda’s office in Takoma, DC.
