Are you interested in making a difference in your community and applying your skills and expertise to lead the effort to sustainably assist our low-income immigrant brothers and sisters as they effectively adjust to life in the US? If that is the case, consider joining Ayuda?s board of directors today. Ayuda is a non-governmental organization whose mission is to protect the rights of low-income immigrants in the DC metropolitan area (www.ayuda.com). Since our founding in 1973, we have become the region's leading provider of multilingual legal and social services for low-income immigrants in the areas of immigration, human trafficking, domestic violence and sexual assault. Ayuda is seeking candidates interested in serving on our Board of Directors, with terms beginning June 15, 2012. Service on the Board of Directors is a serious commitment, as we consider ourselves to be a ?working? Board. As such, you will have the opportunity to have a direct and lasting impact on the organization and our mission.
